Grants of up to $40,000 and in-kind support to USA, Canada, and International nonprofit and non-governmental organizations for forest conservation projects in eligible countries. Funding is intended for projects that monitor forests, support sustainable management of forest landscapes, and reduce illegal and unplanned deforestation. Previously funded projects have been used to strengthen community land rights, alert authorities to illegal deforestation, and raise awareness of deforestation drivers. Projects must be carried out in specified countries in Latin America, Africa, or Asia.

In-kind grants of creative and marketing services to USA, Canada, and International nonprofit, educational, and service organizations and government agencies to improve communications and brand value. The goal of the program is to help organizations strengthen the marketing and branding efforts of successful applicants through brand development, marketing strategies, website design, and creative services.

Grants of up to $500 to British Columbia individuals for community activities in eligible locations. Funding is intended for projects that help to strengthen neighborhoods. Preference is given to new projects or those that have been funded for fewer than three years in a row. Residents of communities in the Kootenay Boundary (Castlegar, Rossland, Bridesville, Big White, Carmi, Westbridge, Beaverdell, Christian Valley, Rock Creek, Kettle Valley, Midway, Greenwood, Grand Forks, and Christina Lake) are encouraged to apply.

The purpose of this program is to recognize exemplary artistic and literary publications. Awards will be given for books written in English and in French in the categories of fiction, non-fiction, poetry, drama, young people’s literature – text, young people's literature - illustrated books, and translation from French to English and from English to French.

Award to a USA, Canada or International individual for scholarly research and writing on the Holocaust. Only books containing new research on the Holocaust, or its antecedents and aftermath, will be considered. Research accuracy, methodology, scholarship, literary merit, originality, and importance of the research topic are important factors.

Prize of $4,000 to a USA, Canada, and International institution or individual for a project that combines digital technology and history. The purpose of the award program is to support and honor work on a media project that is open to the public. Eligible projects will demonstrate thoughtful, critical, and rigorous engagement with technology and the practice of history. The prize recipient(s) will be expected to apply awarded funds toward the advancement of the project goals.

Award of $1,000 to a USA, Canada, or International author for an excellent book on the post-Columbus history of North America. This award is intended to recognize and celebrate excellence in historical research. Biographies, monographs, and works of synthesis and interpretation are eligible.

Grants to Canada nonprofit and for-profit organizations, education institutions, First Nations, and agencies to provide services for First Nations students with learning disabilities. Funding may be used for resource services, assessments, therapies, personnel, and adaptive materials.

Grants of up to $5,000 to British Columbia middle schools, high schools, and teachers for environmental activities. Funding is intended to support science courses, courses with a focus on environmental science, specialty science courses, and other ways of exploring the connections to the natural world. Grants may also be used to support student environmental field skills and connections to real-world science.

In-kind grants of products valued at up to $4,000 and one grant of up to $1,000 to USA, Canada, and International nonprofit and educational organizations to support animal habitat conservation research. Recipients will be provided with products and software licenses for equipment that assists in the study of bats, birds, amphibians, and other terrestrial wildlife—or a travel grant to help them attend a conference with their peers.

Internships for USA, Canada, and International women to learn nonprofit management skills pertaining to arts organizations. Interns will acquire experience by working with operations staff at an established arts nonprofit in New York. Duties and projects will include marketing initiatives, public relations, writing assignments, fundraising, event planning, and arts administration. In addition to a monthly cash stipend, participants will be given accommodations on campus at the funding source's location in Rosendale, New York.

Grants of up to $500 to British Columbia individuals for projects and activities that benefit local residents in eligible locations. Funding is intended to support neighborhood projects such as community gardens, skill-sharing workshops, multicultural events, and block parties. Applications are open for Victoria and core neighborhoods of Quadra Village, Oaklands, Burnside Gorge, and North Park (applications from other CRD areas including Saanich, and Esquimalt will be considered if funding allows).

Films may be submitted at any stage from advanced development through post-production.

Grants to USA, Canada, and International independent investigators for research related to cystic fibrosis. Priority will be given to proposals that advance prevention and treatment strategies, and those that lead to a deeper understanding of disease mechanisms. Funding is intended to encourage the development of new information that contributes to the understanding of the basic etiology and pathogenesis of cystic fibrosis.

Opportunity for USA, Canada, and International businesses to participate in a food and agricultural business competition to benefit eligible regions. Successful applicants will receive monetary support, business development support, training, and mentorship. As a condition of any Award, Recipients must materially locate and maintain a presence on an on-going basis within the Grow-NY Region for at least twelve (12) consecutive months, commencing within three (3) months of the date of the Award. Submissions will be judged based on impact, innovation, sustainability, ethical considerations, and contribution to global challenges. Awards are available in three categories: AI for People, AI for Planet, and AI for Prosperity.

Grants of $500 to British Columbia organizations in eligible regions for environmental projects. Eligible project ideas include neighborhood clean-ups, food workshops promoting plant-based eating, beautification activities, and promoting alternative modes of transportation. Grants will only be given to organizations within the Foundation's designated area, from Blue River to McLure.

Grants of up to $5,000 to USA, Canada, and International advanced doctoral students to conduct research related to gambling. Eligible candidates may be pursuing a doctoral degree in a variety of fields. Funding may be used for a wide range of costs related to the project, such as equipment, travel, participant payments, and animals.

Grants to British Columbia municipalities and First Nations for events that improve community interaction and foster dialogue. Funding is intended to strengthen connections and build relationships through forums between local governments and local First Nations leaders and groups.

Grants of up to $10,000 to USA, Canada, and International nonprofit organizations to improve the lives of people with Down syndrome. Funding is intended to support workshops, webinars, conferences, and programs. Audiences for these programs and activities can be individuals with Down syndrome, medical professionals, and family members. Applicants must be members of the Global Down Syndrome Foundation.

In-kind support to Canada nonprofit organizations, registered charities, public schools, libraries, and community centers for initiatives to support educators and students. Participants will receive access to the program software and program-related support materials. Funding is intended to promote student classroom engagement.

Fellowships to USA, Canada, and International performing arts professionals for professional development. The program is intended for individuals involved in the management of performing arts professionals, with particular attention paid to applicants from developing economies. Successful applicants will receive networking opportunities, participation in a professional congress, one year of membership in ISPA, and participation in a seminar. The Fellows represent all disciplines, genres, and types of arts organizations.

Grant to a USA, Canada, or International nonprofit or for-profit organization for research regarding the effects of advertising on those with a gambling disorder. The purpose of the program is to use the data collected to influence advertising practices to minimize harm and encourage individuals with gambling-related problems to seek help.

Grants of up to $40,000 to USA, Canada, and International nonprofit and for-profit organizations for exploratory research related to gambling. Funding is intended for studies that address the causes, prevention, and treatment of gambling disorders and present methods for developing responsible gaming strategies.

Grants to British Columbia artists and arts-focused businesses for touring opportunities to domestic and international destinations. Funding is intended to support showcase, touring, and business travel. Touring initiatives must include confirmed performances in a minimum of seven different cities. Grants support tours occurring at least 300 km or 4 hours outside of the artists’ geographical area.

Grants of up to $15,000 to USA, Canada, and International students, research interns, faculty members, or association management professionals affiliated with academic institutions for research addressing diversity, equity, and inclusion in the association community. Funding is intended for projects addressing conscious inclusion in nonprofit membership and member-serving organizations management.

Cooperative agreement for USA, Canada, and International nonprofit and for-profit organizations, IHEs, agencies, producer organizations, and agriculture departments for research related to the U.S. poultry industry. Applicants are advised that required registrations must be completed prior to submitting an application. Funding is intended to curb avian flu, protect the poultry industry, and lower egg prices.

Awards to USA, Canada, and Mexico youth to honor environmental protection efforts. The award program recognizes young activists who have demonstrated exceptional leadership in environmental initiatives. Grant winners will receive cash prizes, a professionally produced short film about their work, and flight and lodging accommodations for a trip to the San Francisco Bay Area.

Funding is intended for preventative research related to nutrition, healthy food, and complementary and natural medicine. Eligible uses of funds include salaries, equipment, travel, and office costs.

Grants to Canada land trusts for large-scale conservation efforts. Funding is intended for the acquisition and preservation of designated protected inland water and terrestrial areas as well as specific geographic areas. Projects with higher hectares may be considered more favorably.

Grants to British Columbia First Nations and Indigenous-led nonprofit organizations to promote social justice. Applicants must complete an eligibility quiz and submit a preliminary application prior to submitting a full proposal. Funding is intended for Indigenous-led projects focused on healing, land, rights, and culture. The TISF will support work that creates the conditions for systemic transformation by preserving, evolving, and transforming the social, political, and cultural systems of Indigenous communities in BC.

Opportunity for a Canada Indigenous artist or artist group to design artwork to enhance the area on both sides of a pedestrian bridge in eligible regions. Funding may be used for events, activities, and artistic programming activities of a literary arts organization or collective. The purpose of the grants is to promote Canadian literature and writers through publishing, presentation, and dissemination of literary works and the development of new or unique public programming and community engagement initiatives.

Fellowships to Canada scholars, professors, and researchers to pursue original, independent research projects. This opportunity is intended for research in the fields of the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, health sciences, engineering, or studies linking any of these disciplines.

Grants of up to $25,000 to British Columbia nonprofit arts organizations, Indigenous governments, and artist cooperatives to develop and implement arts-based programs. New applicants must complete the online registration several days prior to submitting an application. Funding is intended for projects and activities related to the development, creation, production, realization, dissemination, or live performance of classical, experimental, original, traditional, and contemporary performing art forms from all world cultures. Performing Arts includes dance, music, theatre, multidisciplinary, or other performing arts practices such as circus arts and comedy.

Sponsorships of up to $30,000 to Canada individuals, companies, and organizations to support new music projects. First-time applicants are required to submit an LOI at least six weeks prior to submitting their applications and then register in the grant portal. Funding is intended to build an audience for Canadian Artists in the commercial music industry. Extra consideration may be given to projects and events that largely benefit underserved communities, audiences, and genres. These may include (for example) Northern, remote, and rural communities; Indigenous peoples and Indigenous artists; Black artists and Artists of Colour; artists identifying as LGBTQ2S.

Fellowship valued at up to $20,000 to Canada postdoctoral or early career investigator for research to advance the understanding of the basis of primary immunodeficiency. Funding is intended for a researcher associated with a Canadian university or research institute within the first five years of completing their PhD degree and currently in a program focusing on clinical immunology and allergy training. The purpose of the fellowship is to advance knowledge into understanding the molecular and genetic basis of primary immunodeficiency as well as breakthroughs in novel treatments for these conditions.

Grants of up to $15,000 to Canada researchers affiliated with eligible post-secondary institutions for collaborative research with researchers from other countries. The purpose of the program is to establish partnerships that would exchange information and establish bonds between Canada post-secondary institutions and those from the European Union and other associated countries who could then jointly apply to the Horizon Europe- Pillar II calls for proposals.

Grants to USA, Canada, and International healthcare institutions, medical education companies, and medical schools for ongoing education for healthcare professionals about treating patients with eligible types of breast cancer. The geographic scope of this program is global with the United States as the primary priority.

Grants of up to $25,000 to British Columbia regional districts and municipalities for capacity-building projects. Funding is intended to increase the sustainability of services by improving asset management practices. New projects and new project components are eligible for funding. Grants may be used to support activities that advance a local government’s asset management planning or practices, and that facilitate better integration of asset management planning with long-term financial planning.

Grants of up to $75,000 to British Columbia Indigenous nonprofit organizations, First Nation tribal councils and bands, and First Nation schools, museums, and adult education centers for initiatives to preserve local history. Funding areas of interest include protecting cultural sites, addressing climate change, recording oral histories, and digitizing cultural resources.

Grants of up to $25,000 to USA, Canada, and International nonprofit institutions of higher education in eligible regions for scholarship programs. Grantees will use the funds to provide scholarship awards of up to $1,500 to eligible students. Institutions will have considerable flexibility in determining the selection criteria and individual award amounts that best fit the needs of affected students. Eligible International institutions are located in Antigua, Australia, Barbados, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Ireland, Lebanon, Jamaica, Mexico, Trinidad and Tobago, and the United Kingdom.

Opportunity for Canada and International children and youth in eligible regions to participate in an essay-writing contest. Two age categories are available to address topics related to journeys of all kinds: personal, historical, or geographical. Winning entrants will be awarded a trip to London for a week of educational and cultural events. The competition is open to nationals or residents of all Commonwealth countries and territories, as well as residents of Hong Kong, Ireland, and Zimbabwe.

Grants of up to $1,500 to British Columbia resident groups in eligible locations for community improvement projects. An eligibility screening is required prior to applying. Funding is intended to enhance local neighborhoods and foster neighborhood pride. Focus areas include neighborhood beautification, safety, leadership, and social connections. Funded projects must serve local neighborhoods within the City of Kelowna.

Grants to British Columbia First Nations bands, councils, nonprofit organizations, and schools for arts and cultural programs. Funding is intended for projects and activities that combine and preserve heritage, language, arts, and culture. The goal of the grant program is to conserve, repair, or develop B.C. First Nations’ cultural heritage and arts infrastructure.

Grants to USA, Canada, and International nonprofit organizations for projects and programs that promote aviation or provide aviation-related humanitarian assistance. Funding is intended to educate youth about the aviation industry and careers in commercial aviation or to support organizations that leverage aviation to promote human welfare. In addition to funding, participants will receive mentorship, be included in a community of youth and partners, and have access to a vast network of experts.

Opportunity for USA, Canada, and International individuals, teams, and entities, to participate in a contest to design a stuffed toy to be launched aboard a spacecraft. The purpose of the contest is to create a zero gravity indicator that would have global significance and would be used to indicate when the Orion spacecraft and the Artemis II astronauts had reached space.

The Prize seeks to inspire urban change-makers across the globe by elevating trailblazing initiatives and telling impactful stories of sustainable urban transformation.

Prizes to Canada scholars to recognize outstanding contributions in various fields. Prizes are intended to honor scholars for exceptional research conducted at hospitals, scientific or research institutes, universities, or other similar institutions in the fields of engineering, the humanities, natural sciences, health sciences, and social sciences.

Scholarships of up to $10,000 to Canada students to pursue undergraduate studies in a university in Israel. Funding is intended to support one year of study. The award is intended for students of good academic standing who require financial aid. Applicants must provide proof of Canadian citizenship or a Canadian Visa and proof of admissions.

Scholarships to Israel graduate students who are enrolled in or are entering a Canadian university. Eligible programs of study are in any of the following disciplines: literature, language, art, music, and culture; Jewish studies, or medical disciplines, industrial, or scientific research and endeavors.

Grants to British Columbia registered charities to benefit residents in eligible locations. Focus areas include health, housing, and social development; environmental sustainability; sports and recreation; youth programming; music and performing arts; and current and urgent community needs. Capital projects will be considered if there is a demonstrated need. Projects must benefit the people of the District of Squamish.

Grants of up to $2,000 to British Columbia sports organizations to address gender disparities in sports. Funding is intended to promote balanced and equitable leadership for female coaches, officials, and organizational staff. Grants may be used for professional development opportunities that involve training, education, and policy development.

Grants to British Columbia nonprofit organizations, businesses, government agencies, educational and public health institutions, and tribal entities in eligible regions to address homelessness. Funding areas of interest must align with Canada's Homelessness Strategy. Programs must take place within the City of Kamloops.

Scholarship of $20,000 to a Canada student to study at an Israeli university. Funding is intended to offset the cost of graduate study in the fields of literature, art, culture, language, or music; or for research or projects in the areas of medicine, science, or industry.

Scholarships to Canada music students in an eligible institution of higher education in Israel. The purpose of the scholarship program is to support piano students who are participating in a community service program. Applications will be accepted from students enrolled at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance (JAMD) of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Grants to USA, Canada, and International art students and emerging artists to pursue career development and training opportunities. Funding is intended for individuals specializing in the areas of printmaking, sculpture, drawing, and painting. Eligible uses of funds include travel, living expenses, tuition, and art supplies. Artists must be working in the figurative or representational tradition.

Grants of up to $35,000 to British Columbia sports organizations, community associations, clubs, registered societies, local government agencies, academic institutions, and Aboriginal bands to host amateur sporting events. Funding is intended to support sports programs that further community and economic development across the region.

Financial assistance of up to $500 to British Columbia families in eligible locations to help children participate in cultural events. Funding is intended to cover the cost of events, programs, and workshops. Funding is intended to improve the quality of life for residents, support local needs, and build vibrant communities. Funding areas include human and social services, sports, arts and culture, environment, and public safety.

Award of $1,000 to a USA, Canada, or International program for promoting the participation of underrepresented groups in mathematics. The purpose of this award is to recognize programs that encourage individuals from underrepresented populations to pursue mathematics degrees and professions.

Residencies to USA, Canada, and International individual artists to support artwork related to botany. The program is intended to support exceptional artists who create scientifically accurate and aesthetic illustrations of plant species. As part of the program, residents will receive a $1,000 grant and an offer to purchase one final work paper for $1,000. The residency will take place at the Oak Spring estate in Upperville, Virginia during the spring or summer when the gardens and landscape are in bloom.

Fellowship of $10,000 to a USA, Canada, or International emerging artist for the development of new work related to gardens, plants, or landscapes. Funding is intended to support a visual artist, literary artist, musician, filmmaker, poet, playwright, performance artist, or dancer who will take part in a two-to-five-week stay at the Oak Spring estate in Upperville, Virginia. The fellowship will be granted to an exceptional artist who shows remarkable promise to contribute to a deeper understanding of the natural world and humankind’s place in it.
